Ancascocha Tour and Adventure

Ancascocha Trek in PERU

By KONDOR PATH TOURS: Trek for traversing the foothills of Peru’s Cordillera Vilcabamba, providing an unforgettable beautiful trek to the fabulous Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. Crossing three high passes, the established hike follows sections of stone pathways created by the Incas of South America four centuries ago. It provides tremendous views of spectacular forested valleys and the snow-capped peaks of the Vilcabamba. Our visit to Peru begins in the ancient Inca capital of Cusco, “ancient name: Qosqo.” We set off on a picturesque trail around Huayanay Peak 4,650 m / 15,300 ft., passing through the forest to alpine meadows and crossing the Ancascocha Pass 4625 m to reach part of the Inca Trail. On this special 4-day section of the trail, we are likely to see a few other trekkers. This short introduction also ensures we are well acclimatized and ready to rediscover Machu Picchu, “the world-famous lost city of the Incas.”
